Distribution. China (Henan) (Fig. 127).

Material examined. Holotype: Henan: ♀, Mt. Baiyun, Songxian (34°15′N, 112°06′E, alt. 1300 m), 0 4.06.2001, Yihai Zhong leg.; non-type material: 1 ♀, Longyuwan, Luanchuan (33°43′N, 111°43′E, alt. 1300m), 23.07.2003, Jigang Jiang leg.; 1 ♀, Longyuwan, Luanchuan (33°43′N, 111°43′E, alt. 1600–1800), 21.07.2004, Weixing Liu leg.

Discussion. This species is similar to P. nigroclypeata (see discussion of P. nigroclypeata). It is also similar to P. chenghanhuai and may be distinguished as follows ( P. chenghanhuai in parentheses): space between punctures on mesepisternum without sculpture, distinctly shiny (space between punctures on mesepisternum with distinct sculpture, slightly shiny); middle serrulae each with 17–20 distal denticles (middle serrulae each with 11–12 distal denticles). Except for the serrulae, reliable morphological differences between these three species were not found.
