Published data. Original description. Type locality: “ Beyrouth [Lebanon]” (Reiche & Sulcy 1857: 418).
Distribution. A: Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, Turkey (Cate 2007).
Remarks. One specimen of Lanelater from the collection of USEK (without locality labels) most probably represents a new species similar to L. judaicus . However, it clearly differs from the latter in the apices of posterior angles of pronotum, which are very short, truncate and not divergent (longer and divergent in L. judaicus).
