Current name: Centaurea stoebe L. ( Asteraceae).
Note: This name has been treated as of doubtful application (see Holub in Preslia 49: 314. 1977; Greuter & al. in Taxon 50: 1204. 2002) although others (e.g. Ochsmann in Diss. Bot. 324: 65. 2000) have used the name. Ochsmann noted the absence of original material, and Greuter (in Willdenowia 33: 56. 2003) designated a neotype.
