Current name: Baptisia perfoliata (L.) R. Br. ( Fabaceae: Faboideae).

Note: Although Isely (in Mem. New York Bot. Gard. 25(3): 224. 1981) confirmed the identity of the Dillenius plate, he did not indicate it as the type.
