Lectotype (Buschmann in Repert. Spec. Nov. Regni Veg. 43: 136. 1938): Scopoli s.n., Herb. Linn. No. 603.27 (LINN) .

Current name: Cerastium tomentosum L. ( Caryophyllaceae).

Note: Lacaita (in Bull. Orto Bot. Napoli 3: 273-274. 1913) discussed the identity of the name, and its protologue, and described 603.27 (LINN) in some detail, but remained uncertain of its identity.
