Current name: Centella villosa L. ( Apiaceae).

Note: As noted by Burtt (in Notes Roy. Bot. Gard. Edinburgh 48: 199. 1991), although the binomial appears first in Pl. Rar. Afr.: 28 (1760), the generic name was not validated until the publication of Gen. Pl., ed. 6 (1763, by association with Sp. Pl. ed. 2), so C. villosa dates from 1763.
