Generitype of Croton Linnaeus (vide Green, Prop. Brit. Bot.: 189. 1929).

Current name: Croton tiglium L. ( Euphorbiaceae).

Note: Chakrabarty & Balakrishnan indicated Hermann material (vol. 2: 6) as the type, with Philcox subsequently restricting this choice to the left specimen.
