Current name: Carex acuta L. ( Cyperaceae).

Note: Some authors have treated this as a nomen ambiguum, and Luceño & Aedo (in Bot. J. Linn. Soc. 114: 197. 1994) suggested that a conservation proposal was necessary. However, assessment of the characters shown by 1100.71 (LINN) by Egorova seems to confirm that the identity of the type is C. acuta .
