Current name: Senna torn (L.) Roxb. ( Fabaceae: Caesalpinioideae).
Note: Irwin & Barneby (in Brittonia 28: 435-437. 1976) discussed this name in some detail, illustrating the cited Rheede figure as their f. 1. They concluded that the name should be discarded as a nomen ambiguum. However, Nicolson & al. subsequently disagreed, and designated the Rheede plate as lectotype.
