Lectotype (Mabberley in Telopea 7: 170. 1997): [icon] " Malus arantia, fructu rotundo maximo pallescente humanum caput excedente " in Sloane, Voy. Jamaica 1: 41, t. 12, f. 2, 3. 1707. - Typotype: Herb. Sloane 7: 115 (BM-SL) .

Current name: Citrus maxima (Burm.) Merr. ( Rutaceae).

Note: Porter & Elias (in Ann. Missouri Bot. Gard. 66: 130. 1979) indicated an unseen Osbeck collection in S as type, but there are three collections potentially associated with this name, none of which appears to be from Osbeck (who is also not mentioned in the protologue).
