Current name: Ptilostemon stellatus (L.) Greuter ( Asteraceae).

Note: Greuter (in Boissiera 22: 150. 1973) designated as “lectotypus” the description " Carduus spinis ramosis lateralibus, foliis integris subtus tomentosis" van Royen, Fl. Leyd. Prodr.: 133 (1740). He cited a corresponding specimen in Herb, van Royen (L) as “typotypus”, which is treated here (under Art. 9.8) as interpretable as a designation of a lectotype.
