Generitype of Clypeola Linnaeus (vide Green, Prop. Brit. Bot.: 55. 1929).

Current name: Clypeola jonthlaspi L. ( Brassicaceae).

Note: Jafri (in Nasir & Ali, Fl. W. Pakistan 55: 126. 1973) indicated 830.1 (LINN) as type but this is a post-1753 addition to the herbarium and not original material for the name. Although Meikle (Fl. Cyprus 1: 144. 1977) stated "Type: …(BM)”, he did not indicate any particular collection.
