Locus typicus: Kiribati (= Gilbert Islands) [0°36’S 174°23’E].

Primary type: Syntype (SMNH 973).

Material examined: ZISP: 1 adult spm, Vekai Island [17°34’S 178°49’W], Callisto St. 93, 0.5 m, leg. Boris I. Sirenko, 0 8 February 1975, wet.

Habitat: No information available.

Distribution: The species was considered to be endemic to Kiribati (Kaas et al. 2006: 357).

Remarks: This is the first record of this species from Fiji. For the new combination see comments under the preceding species.
