Syntypes (4): PEM R16085– 6,16088 (formerly AMG 7791) and PEM R16087 (formerly AMG 7649); Cape St Francis, Eastern Cape Province, South Africa; Mr. Fred Cronwright, date unknown .

Remarks: Type description refers to three adults and one juvenile, but neither provides specimen data nor illustrates any of the specimens. PEM R16085 has a damaged head, and in PEM R16086 the tail is missing. One additional specimen from Karatara, Knysna (PEM R16089, formerly AM 5922) was referred to this species in the original description.
