Habitat.
Nothing is known about the bionomics of this species.
Distribution.
According to the available data, P. insignitus insignitus is endemic to Morocco (Fig. 18). Antoine (1957: 236) stated that it is a sublittoral species living in the area between Oum er Rbia River to the north and the Anti-Atlas Mountain Range to the south. Machard (2017, 2019) noted that it inhabits the "Littoral atlantique de Casablanca à Agadir". The new data from the environs of Tiznit show that the species occurs south of the city of Agadir as well.
