Amblyseius deleoni Muma & Denmark, in Muma et al., 1970: 68 (synonymy according to Daneshvar & Denmark, 1982). Amblyseius impactus Chaudhri, 1968 (synonymy according to Daneshvar & Denmark, 1982).
Specimens examined. BOQUEIRÃO DO LEÃO: Bordo (Ives), Vitis labrusca L., Leaf, I/2007 (1).
Measurements of the single female collected are: dorsal shield 375 long and 250 wide, j1 33, j3 43, j4 5, j5 5, j6 8, J2 8, J5 10, z2 13, z4 8, z5 5, Z1 13, Z4 98, Z5 238, s4 88, S2 13, S4 10, S5 10, r3 13, R1 8, SgI 43, SgII 45, SgIII 48, StiIII 38, SgIV 110, StiIV 80, StIV 73, st1-st3 68, st2-st2 73, st5-st5: 65, ventrianal shield 53 anterior width, 68 posterior width and 118 long, spermatheca cervix 20 in length, fixed digit 8 in length, movable digit 3 in length. Number of teeth on the chelicerae was not visible.
Previous records in Brazil. Pernambuco (Moraes et al., 1990); Minas Gerais (Pallini et al., 1992); Paraná (Santana & Flechtmann, 1998); Rio Grande do Sul (Ferla & Moraes, 2002); São Paulo (Gondim & Moraes, 2001; Zacarias & Moraes, 2001). This species has already been reported on native plants in Rio Grande do Sul state (Ferla & Moraes, 2002), however it is now found on vines for the first time.
