Distribution. South China, India and Nepal, through Southeast Asia to East Malaysia, Taiwan.

Biology. A polyphagous species like the majority of Xyleborini . Beeson (1930) describes the biology, gallery system and phenology. He notes that the species tends to attack timber which has been felled for several weeks rather than freshly felled.
