24. Myrcia racemosa (O.Berg) Kiaerskou (1893: 72); Souza et al. (2007: 49–63) [Fig. 3S; Fig. 6E]
Endemic to the Atlantic Forest (Sobral et al. 2009) from the northeast to southern regions of Brazil (Govaerts et al. 2010, Sobral et al. 2010, Proença & Sobral 2006). In the Northeast, it occurs in the States of Bahia (Sobral et al. 2010), Alagoas (Lemos et al. 2010), Pernambuco (Amorim & Alves 2011a), and Sergipe.
Trees 3–8 m tall. Morphologicaly similar to Myrcia splendens, but differs by having acuminate calyx lobes, a glabrous hypanthium and subglobose to globose fruit.
