32. Myrciaria floribunda (H.West ex Willd.) Berg (1856: 330); Sobral (1993: 16–17) [Fig. 4L, M; Fig. 6M] Widely distributed and cultivated in tropical America, from Mexico to Paraguay and Brazil (Govaerts et al. 2010, Sobral et al. 2010).
Trees 6 m tall. This species differs from Myrciaria ferruginea by having a flat or raised midvein on the adaxial lamina surface; it differs from M. glazioviana by having glabrous leaves, calyx lobes and hypanthium and by having shorter bracts.
