Remarks: The genus Dolichoderus Lund comprises more than 130 species, distributed in all zoogeographic realms except Africa and Madagascar. Only one species, D. quadripunctatus, is known from the western Palaearctic. Its range covers central and southern Europe, central and southern parts of eastern Europe, the Caucasus, Anatolia, southwest Siberia, and the Tien-Shan range in Central Asia and China.
