Notes:— Eight specimens of collection W.A. Talbot 3127 were traced for the name Eugenia memecylifolia Talbot, four each at BSI (BSI 0000000093, BSI0000000094, BSI 0000000095 and BSI 0000000096) and CAL (CAL 0000015583, CAL0000015584, CAL 0000015585 and CAL 0000015586). Of these, the specimen BSI0000000095 (Figure 2) is better preserved and the illustration in the protologue is based on it, therefore designated as the lectotype.
