Distribution. Nearctic, recorded from A/S (Klimaszewski et al. 2021). Canada: AB, LB, MB, NB, NF, NT, NU, ON, QC, YT. USA: AK, IA, ME, MO, NH, NY.

Collection and Habitat data. In NH found in Alnus litter and Sphagnum near pond, with the Durham site at the margin of a freshwater marsh. Collected in June and from September to November. In AK found in Salix leaf litter (Klimaszewski et al. 2021). In Canada recorded from litter near various wetlands; sifted from moss and leaf litter along a stream, from Alnus and Sphagnum litter near a pond, treading sedges around edge of pond, and in drift material on upper river margins. Also, in gilled mushrooms in a spruce and fir forest, and in vegetation on coastal sand dunes; a few were captured flying at dusk (Webster et al. 2009, Klimaszewski et al. 2006, 2021).
