Distribution. Nearctic, recorded from A/S (Klimaszewski et al. 2021). Canada: AB, BC, LB, MB, NB, NF, NS, ON, QC, SK. USA: MI, MO, NH, NY, OR.
Collection and Habitat data. In NH reported from Mt. Washington in July. In Canada (BC) adults taken from various traps in 3–5-year-old post-harvest Douglas fir forest, in transition zone of Sitka spruce forest, in mixed Populus / Salix / Alnus and Pinus banksiana forests, under red oak in red oak forest (Klimaszewski and Winchester 2002a, Webster at al. 2009, Klimaszewski et al. 2018).

Comments. Before 2002 this species was often identified as Z. haworthi in North American collections (Klimaszewski et al. 2018).
