Distribution. Nearctic. Canada: MB, NB, ON, PE, QC. USA: AL, IL, IN, KY, ME, MI, NC, NH, NY, PA, TN, VA, WV, WI.

Collection and Habitat data. All specimens from NH were found feeding on a fungus on two separate days. Found in June in NH; May to September in ME. In Canada found in mixed, hardwood, and coniferous forests. adults were taken on/in fresh gilled mushrooms on the forest floor, on small gilled mushrooms on the side of a log, on bracket fungi, and on Trametes hirsuta (Wulfen) Lloyd on a poplar log (Klimaszewski et al. 2018).
