Collection and Habitat data. One NH male was captured in May by a FIT placed in an old-growth coniferous forest close to the border with Quebec. In Canada found in coniferous forests, mixed forests, and clearcuts; under bark of spruce logs infested with Scolytinae, under tight bark of a dead standing balsam fir, under bark of tamarack infested by the eastern bark beetle, and in lodgepole pine ( Pinus contorta Douglas ex Louden) logs (Webster et al. 2009, Klimaszewski et al. 2018).
