Comments. This species is practically indistinguishable externally from B. parvipennis, except for narrower and more glossy body and the slightly shorter elytra, but it may be separated by the shape of the tubus of the median lobe of the aedeagus in dorsal and lateral view. In lateral view, the apical part of the tubus of B. campbelliana is narrower and slightly longer that that of B. parvipennis, and in dorsal view it is constricted basally while it is evenly triangular in B. parvipennis . The NH locality at Mt. Washington is an alpine habitat and the southernmost disjunct distribution of Boreostiba campbelliana . This area is known to host other Nordic species.
