Distribution. Nearctic. Canada: NB, NF, ON. USA: IL, MA, ME, MI, NH, NJ, PA, RI, WI.
Collection and Habitat data. Specimens in NH were captured by sifting litter along a marsh edge, and were taken by flight intercept and pitfall traps. Collected from May to October with one January record. Elsewhere found in: leaf litter on margins of vernal ponds and pools in mature spruce and eastern white cedar forests (common) and mixed forests, a Carex marsh in moist grass litter and Sphagnum moss, Sphagnum moss and grasses in a bog, organic debris in a forested swamp, flood debris, debris around dead elm, a moose carcass, and scat on a log in an oak forest (Klimaszewski 1984, Klimasewski et al. 2018).
