Diagnosis. Forming open aggregates consisting of large numbers of tiny (0.2–0.35 mm diameter), whitish tubes, circular in cross-section (Fig. 17 C); granular overlay absent. Operculum and pseudoperculum absent. Asexual reproduction common (Fig. 17 B).
