Subgenus Hoa Rohdendorf
Hoa Rohdendorf, 1937: 291 . Type species: Sarcophaga flexuosa Ho, 1934, by original designation.
Diagnosis. Middle-sized, black flies with silver-gray or yellowish gray pollinosity, and the checkerboard pattern on the abdomen typical for most Sarcophaga . Male terminalia black; cercus in lateral view broad basally and strongly narrowing in distal half, which is slightly bent anteriorly relative to the proximal half; cercal tip hook-shaped; ventral plate developed; juxta with a pair of strongly sclerotized extensions arising ventro-basally or dorso-basally, with a slender base and swollen distal part, and remaining part of vesica moderately sclerotized; vesica small and undivided, in lateral view with a slender stalk-like base, with some very small denticles apically.
