Redescription. Male. Body length approximately 10.0 mm.
Head. Eye bare. Fronto-orbital and parafacial plates black with dense, light golden-yellow pollinosity (Fig. 1 C–E); postocular strip black with silvery pollinosity; parafacial setae in one row, weak; fronto-orbital plate with rows of fine setae. Frontal vitta black, about 3 times as broad as fronto-orbital plate at the narrowest point; frons at vertex 0.2 times head width; frontal setae 13–15; outer vertical seta differentiated from postocular setae; one reclinate orbital seta. One pair of strong ocellar setae, directed antero-laterally. Gena ground color black, with black setae, height approximately 0.2 times eye height in lateral view; postgena with black setae. Antenna with first flagellomere brown, not reaching level of vibrissal insertion, 3 times as long as pedicel; pedicel brown; arista long plumose in basal 4/7. Palpus black, not expanded in distal part.
Thorax. Black in ground color, with silver-gray pollinosity; scutum with three black dorsal vittae. Chaetotaxy: acrostichals 0+1; dorsocentrals 4+4; intra-alars 1+2; supra-alars 2; postalars 2; postpronotals 2; notopleurals 3; scutellum with 1 apical, 1 subapical, 1 discal and 1 basal seta; katepisternal setae 1:1:1; postalar wall setulose; proepisternum bare. Wing. Hyaline; subcostal sclerite brown, bare; tegula black, with black setae; basicosta yellow, bare; costal spine not differentiated; vein R 1 bare dorsally; lower calypter white. Legs. Black; fore femur with one row of dorsal setae, one row of posterior setae and one row of posterodorsal setae; fore tibia with one median anterodorsal seta and one median posterior seta; mid femur with one row of anteroventral setae (weak) and two median anterior setae; mid tibia with one median anterodorsal, two median posterodorsal, one median posterior and one median ventral setae; hind femur with three anterodorsal setae; hind tibia with two median anterodorsal, two median posterodorsal and two median anteroventral setae.
Abdomen. Elongate oval, with silver-gray pollinosity of the checkerboard pattern typical for most Sarcophaga; tergites 4 with a pair of median marginal setae, tergite 5 with a complete row of marginal setae. Terminalia. Epandrium black; cercus black, slightly curving ventrally in profile, tip with a small hook. Surstylus almost triangular. Pregonite longer than postgonite. Vesica moderate in size, undivided, expanded and rounded at the apex; harpes smooth, well developed and elongate; juxta irregular, largely membranous, with tip split medially and with a pair of long and sclerotized dorso-basal extensions.
