Genus Temanonegia Gates, 1979

Remarks. Characterized by having a relatively large body size compared to most known ocnerodrilids (Gates 1979), Temanonegia is the only known genus of the family fully endemic to the Caribbean islands. All species are only known from the mountainous center of Hispaniola. The only exception is T. alba, the only species known to occur out of Hispaniola (Rodrígez et al. 2007), and to be collected after its description.
