Sasajiscymnus amplus (Yang & Wu, 1972)

Pseudoscymnus amplus Yang &Wu,1972:122 (type locality:Puli, Nantou, Taiwan, China).— Pang et al. 2004:86; Kovář 2007:582.
Sasajiscymnus amplus: Yu 2011: 122 — Iqbal et al. 2020: 382.
Diagnosis. This species closely resembles S. pseudoamplus sp. nov., but can be distinguished from the later by its penis guide widest at base in ventral view (Fig. 47g). In S. pseudoamplus, penis guide is approximately parallel sided for basal 1/ 2 in ventral view (Fig. 48g).
Description. TL: 2.85–3.34 mm, TW: 2.14–2.53 mm, TH: 1.23–1.52 mm.
Body oval, moderately convex, surfaces covered with short pubescence (Figs 47a–c). Head yellowish brown, with interocular distance distinctly greater than eye width in frontal view. Pronotum yellowish brown with a large black spot at base. Scutellar shield black. Elytra black with yellowish brown apices. Ventral surfaces yellowish brown to black. Legs yellowish brown. Abdominal postcoxal lines incomplete, recurved toward the base of ventrite (Fig. 47d).
Male genitalia: Penis long and slender, penis capsule with inconspicuous outer arm and long inner one, apex of penis pointed (Figs 47e–f). Penis guide long and slender in lateral view, arcuate and gradually narrowing to pointed apex; parameres about 1/8 as long as penis guide, with a tuft of long setae at apex; penis guide widest at base in ventral view, tapering towards blunt apex (Figs 47g –h).
Female genitalia: Coxites shaped board plates; styli absent; spermatheca worm-like, with basal ramus and nodulus (Figs 3i, 3m).
