Sasajiscymnus fuscus (Yang, 1971)

Pseudoscymnus fuscus Yang, 1971: 87 (type locality: Anma Mountains, Taichung, Taiwan, China).— Yu 1995 a: 129; Pang et al. 2004: 87; Kovář 2007: 582.

Sasajiscymnus fuscus: Yu 2011: 115 — Iqbal et al. 2020: 384.

Diagnosis. This species can be easily recognized by its uniformly brown elytra (Fig. 22a).

Description. TL: 2.05–2.51 mm, TW: 1.50–1.89 mm, TH: 0.99–1.12 mm.

Body oval, moderately convex, surfaces covered with short pubescence (Figs 22a–d). Head yellow with interocular distance distinctly greater than eye width in frontal view. Pronotum yellow. Scutellar shield and elytra entirely brown. Ventral surfaces yellow to black. Legs yellow to yellowish brown. Abdominal postcoxal lines incomplete, not recurved toward the base of ventrite (Fig. 22e).

Male genitalia: Penis stout, penis capsule with stout outer arm and long inner one, apex of penis slightly expanded with membranous appendage (Figs 22f–g). Penis guide with prominent keel at base in lateral view, then gradually narrowing to pointed apex; parameres about 1/4 as long as penis guide, with a tuft of long setae at apex; penis guide approximately parallel sided for basal 1/ 2 in ventral view, then gradually narrowing to apex (Fig. 22h).

Female genitalia: Coxites elongate, triangular; styli well developed with terminal setae; spermatheca distinctly curved, with basal ramus and elongate nodulus.
