Nephus (Nephus) lancetapicalis Pang & Gordon, 1986: 196 (type locality: Guangdong, China).— Kovář 2007: 582.

Pseudoscymnus lancetapicalis: Pang & Yu 1991: 5 .

Pseudoscymnus disselasmatus: Yu et al. 1993: 470 [nec. Pang & Huang, 1986].

Sasajiscymnus lancetapicalis: Iqbal et al. 2020: 385 .

Diagnosis. This species is most similar to S. disselasmatus (Pang & Huang, 1986), but can be distinguished from the later by the blunt apex of penis guide in lateral view (Fig. 43h). In S. disselasmatus, apex of penis guide is pointed in lateral view (Fig. 44h).

Description. TL: 1.58–2.31 mm, TW: 1.62–1.76 mm, TH: 0.69–1.12 mm.

Body oval, moderately convex, surfaces covered with short pubescence (Figs 43a–c). Head yellow with interocular distance distinctly greater than eye width in frontal view. Pronotum yellow. Scutellar shield yellowish brown. Elytra black with yellow apices and humeral angles. Ventral surfaces yellow to black. Legs yellow. Abdominal postcoxal lines incomplete, slightly recurved toward the base of ventrite (Fig. 43d).

Male genitalia: Penis stout, penis capsule with stout outer arm and long inner one, apex of penis constricted with distinct membranous appendage (Figs 43e–f). Penis guide with prominent keel at base in lateral view, then tapering towards apex; parameres about 3/5 as long as penis guide, with a tuft of long setae at apex; penis guide widest near the base in ventral view, apically rounded (Figs 43g –h).

Female genitalia: Coxites elongate, triangular; styli well developed with terminal setae; spermatheca distinctly curved, with basal ramus and elongate nodulus.
