Material examined. 1 ♂, 1 ♀ (NMNHS), Sofia District, Vitosha Mt., Yarema locality, N 42.3020, E 23.1957, yard of a summer house, 1200–1300 m alt., under plywood, 24.IV.2003, leg. and det. PS ; 1 ♀ (IBER), some 50 meters from the same house, scattered Pinus and deciduous trees, in leaf litter, 13.VI.2014, leg. & det. BV.
Remarks. These are the first two records of this species after its original description by Strasser (1975). The type locality of B. superficiei lies in the vicinity of Aleko hut on Vitosha Mountain. Yarema is only ~ 10km straight SSE from this location. The original description and drawings completely agree with the specimens in hand. Below (Figs. 3–8), are the first SEM images produced that show the gonopods and male leg-pairs 5 and 6. B. superficiei seems to be a rare species as only four individuals have been found since 1975.
