Type Locality: "Chilui Island, Lake Bangweolo", = Chilubi Isl, Zambia.

Vernacular Names: Turbo Shrew.

Synonyms: Crocidura angolae Dollman 1915 .

Distribution: Angola, Zambia, Dem. Rep. Congo, Malawi, Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Cameroon.

Conservation: IUCN – Lower Risk (lc).

Discussion: Includes angolae; see Heim de Balsac and Meester (1977:24-25). Range not exactly known, due to confusion with zaodon (= nigrofusca).
