Cainocreadium epinepheli (Yamaguti, 1934) Durio & Manter, 1968

Synonyms: Hamacreadium epinepheli Yamaguti, 1934; Cainocreadoides epinepheli (Yamaguti, 1934), Nagaty 1956.

Records. From the Hong Kong grouper, Epinephelus akaara (Temminck & Schlegel) (Serranidae), and Lethrinus haematopterus off Japan by Yamaguti (1934). From the spottedtail morwong, Cheilodactylus zonatus Cuvier ( Perciformes: Cheilodactylidae) [as Goniistius zonatus (Cuvier)] off Japan by Yamaguti (1940). From the areolate grouper, Epinephelus areolatus (Forsskål), E. chlorostigma, the Summan grouper, Epinephelus summana (Forsskål), the greasy grouper, Epinephelus tauvina (Forsskål), and L. nebulosus in the Persian/Arabian Gulf by Saoud et al. (1986). From E. quoyanus and E. merra off Heron Island, southern Great Barrier Reef, Australia by Bray & Cribb (1989).

Remarks. This species has a medial genital pore, a strongly tapered teat-like posterior and is well established as a genuine species of Cainocreadium .
