Cainocreadium xishaense (Shen, 1985) n. comb.
Synonyms: Hamacreadium xishaense Shen, 1985 Records. From the common bluestripe snapper, Lutjanus kasmira (Forsskål), in the South China Sea by Shen (1985).
Remarks. Although recorded from a lutjanid, this species is inconsistent with Hamacreadium because the cirrus-sac is small and entirely anterior to the ventral sucker and the genital pore is medial. The excretory vesicle was not described. It agrees best with the concept of Cainocreadium and is most similar to C. lintoni, but that species is from the West Atlantic and its uterus is restricted to the pre-ovarian area, whereas in C. xishaense the uterus extends posteriorly between the testes.
