11. Stenampyx annulicornis Karsch, 1891

This common and widespread species has been recorded from Cameroon, Sierra Leone, Fernando Poo, Congo (Beier 1962), Guinea (Chopard 1954), and Côte d’Ivoire (Ragge 1968). Here it is reported for the first time from Ghana.

Individuals of S. annulicornis can be encountered on vegetation in both primary and secondary, often strongly disturbed lowland forests of GFWA. Males are frequently attracted to lights at night. In Guinea I observed many individuals of this species feeding on leaves of an unidentified plant of the family Solanaceae .
