Stethantyx Townes, 1971: 42–43 .

Type species Stethantyx nearctica Townes, 1971, by original designation.

Comments. Porter (1998: 76) found a specimen in EMUS labeled “ Chile, La Raya ”, reporting that he could not find this locality. We found four locations with that name in four different regions: Coquimbo, Ñuble, Biobío, and Magallanes y de la Antártica Chilena. Future studies are needed to confirm the identity of the species and its actual distribution in the country.
