Ichneumon (Melanichneumon) Thomson, 1893: 1954–1955 .

Type species Ichneumon spectabilis Holmgren, 1864, by subsequent designation by Ashmead (1900a: 17).

Comments. Porter (1998) mentions unidentified species occurring from the Región Metropolitana to Región de Magallanes y de la Antártica Chilena.
