Diagnosis. This species has the head extensively yellow on the frontal and genal orbits, metapleuron smooth, and epicnemial carina reaching the anterior margin of the pleuron (Gauld, et al., 2002).

Remarks. The holotype in BNHM has the lower half of gena yellow; Brazilian specimens have the gena almost completely black with only the lower end yellow (Fig. 25).

Distribution. Costa Rica, Brazil. The specimens were collected in riparian forest (Itiquira) State of Mato Grosso and Brazilian savannah (Santa Rita do Passa Quatro, São Carlos), State of São Paulo.

Biology. Unknown.
