Pseudophloeus intermedius Jakovlev, 1883: 101 (as new species); Pseudophloeus angustus Reuter, 1891: 139; Pseudophloeus gestroi Bergevin, 1930: 32; Pseudophloeus falleni var. clericus Wagner, 1937: 62 .

Distribution in Iran. Ardabil (Modarres Awal 1996b, 1997b), Guilan (Wagner 1968), Hormozgan (Wagner 1968; Hoberlandt 1989), Kerman (Seidenstücker 1957; Hoberlandt 1989; Linnavuori 2012), Khuzestan, Sistan & Baluchestan (Seidenstücker 1957; Hoberlandt 1989).

General distribution. South Mediterranean basin (in Europe only from Greece, Portugal and Spain), Canary archipelago, the Sinai, Saudi Arabia, Transcaucasia, Africa.

Comments. On Acantholimon sp. ( Plumbaginaceae) (Wagner 1968), Tamarix sp. ( Tamaricaceae) (Hoberlandt 1989), and Medicago sativa (Fabaceae) (Modarres Awal 1997b).
