Ceralepus lividus Stein, 1858: 70 (as new species); Coreus difficilis Vollenhoven, 1869: 56 .

Distribution in Iran. Chaharmahal & Bakhtiari (Moulet et al. 2008), Fars, Tehran (Hoberlandt 1989), Hamadan (Samin et al. 2011), West Azarbaijan (Sakenin et al. 2010).

General distribution. Most of European countries and Transcaucasia (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia). Comments. On Centaurea sp. ( Asteraceae) (Sakenin et al. 2010; Samin et al. 2011). Note. Necrophagy in the genus Ceraleptus is well known (StehlĂ­k 1988; Moulet 1995; Constant 2007) (see Introduction of this work).
