Material examined. None.
Diagnosis. Rostrum broadly rounded. Ocular acicles simple. Chelipeds unequal, right stronger than left. Fourth pereopod semichelate; propodal rasp with row of corneous scales. Males with long sexual tube on coxa of right fifth pereopod; left sexual tube short, with tufts of setae. Females with single gonopore on coxa of left third pereopod.
Distribution. Western Atlantic: Brazil (Rio de Janeiro). Eastern Atlantic: Azores, Cape Finisterre, Spain and Morocco. Indo-Pacific: Indonesia.
Habitat. Unknown. The material examined by Lins & Cardoso (2010) was collected between 1067 and 1626 m.
Remarks. Recently, Lins & Cardoso (2010) reported the presence of Catapaguroides microps for the first time in Brazilian waters, and provided a description, diagnosis and illustrations.
