Comments: This Ponto-Eastmediterranean species was found for the first time by Reuter (1880) in Turkey from İzmir (Aegean region) as Monanthia kreuperi and by Horváth (1906) from Akbes (in Hatay province), Ephesus, Smyrna (= İzmir) as Catoplatus dilatatus .
