Type species. Fidicina aper Walker 1850: 87 . ( Cayenne, French Guiana)
REMARKS. Species of Majeorona are distinguished by a head with anteriorly extended, prominent stylate eyes, head width wider than mesonotum, pronotum shorter than mesonotum, and timbal covers not being concave dorsally.
DISTRIBUTION. Species of the genus have been reported from Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, French Guiana, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama, and Peru (Metcalf 1963a; Duffels & van der Laan 1985; Sanborn 2011a; 2013; 2014a; 2018b; Sanborn & Maes 2012; Maes et al. 2012) with the range recently expanded to include Bolivia (Sanborn 2019b).
