Majeorona truncata Goding 1925: 22 . (Posorja, Ecuador)

REMARKS. This is the smallest of the Peruvian Majeorona species with body lengths of about 28 mm and a wing span of less than 80 mm. The head and thorax are green marked with piceous, the abdomen is piceous, the postclypeus does not extend anteriorly beyond the supra-antennal plates when viewed from the dorsal side and the lack of infuscation on the fore wing radial and radiomedial crossveins easily distinguish it from the remaining Peruvian Majeorona species.

DISTRIBUTION. The species has previously been reported from Brazil, Costa Rica, Ecuador, French Guiana, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Panama (Metcalf 1963a; Sanborn 2011a; 2013; 2014a; 2018b; Sanborn & Maes 2012; Maes et al. 2012).
