Guyalna aurora Ruschel 2017: 251 . (Careiro Castanho, Amazonas, Brazil)

REMARKS. This species is one of two Peruvian species with infuscation at the base of the wings. It can be distinguished from the remaining Peruvian species of Guyalna by its dark brown body coloration marked with piceous, tergites 6–8 and sternites covered with golden setae, and the shape of the uncus, particularly the distal lateral uncus lobes which curve mediad under the aedeagus (Ruschel 2017).

DISTRIBUTION. The species has been reported previously only from Brazil (Ruschel 2017).

MATERIAL EXAMINED FOR NEW RECORD. “ PERU: Loreto Dept., / Explorama Lodge, 50 mi. / NE Iquitos on Amazon R. / 12–19-III-1988. / J. E. Eger, coll.” one male (AFSC).
