REMARKS. The species was recently transferred to Herrera based on the head being wider than the mesonotum (Sanborn 2019b). The species has reduced mesothoracic markings and copious piceous pile radiating from the dorsal surface of all body regions which distinguish the species from the other Peruvian Herrera .
DISTRIBUTION. The species has been reported from Peru (Metcalf 1963c) with the recent addition of Bolivia (Sanborn 2019b) to its range. Jacobi (1907; 1951) reported the species from Callanga in Peru.
